With the beautiful white sand beaches of Gullane and Yellow Craigs or the extensive hill Walking available in the Lammermuir or on the Pentland Hills a world of nature is only ever a short drive or bike ride away. The county hosts a number of well-known golf courses such as Muirfield and Archerfield and Haddington has its own golf course as well as a swimming pool and sports centre facilities.
